Archaeological Museum of Ioannina
It is situated in the central square of Ioannina in
Litharitsia Park. It includes findings from Epirus
from the Paleolithic era until the post-Roman
years. You will admire the important collection
of coppery utensils, 13th century objects of
miniature art, splendid exhibits from Dodoni,
currencies of Epirotic and other ancient Greek
cities, findings from the excavations of
ancient Amvrakia, today's Arta etc. The
most special exhibits of the museum are the
most ancient ax of Ahelaian technology
(dated about 200.000 b. C.) and the
marble sarcophagus from the ancient
city Fotiki in Thesprotia.

Museum of Wax Effigies in Ioannina
It is situated in 15, Karamanlis Street in
Molos Ioannina. It includes wax effigies
that express representations from the
mythology, as well as from the ancient
and modern history of Greece.

Folklore
Museum (EHM)
It is accommodated in a three-storied building
on 42, Michael Aggelos Street in the city of
Ioannina. It includes infrequent samples of
Epirotic traditional art, such as costumes,
jewels, tools and other objects of daily use.

Gallery ΕΗΜ
It is accommodated in 4,
Paraskevopoulou Street in
the building of the Company of
Epirotic Studies. The aim of this
company, which was founded in
1955, was to collect and develop
the historical and traditional
wealth of Epirus. You will
therefore see and admire works
of Modern Greek painters with
mportant contribution to the
cultural growth of the country.

Municipal Art Gallery
It is situated in Pyrsinella Street in the city
of Ioannina. Those who will visit it will have
the chance to watch all the course of Modern
Greek painting. It begins from the pyrrhonism
of the painters from the faculty of Munich,
the Impressionism, the humanism and leads
to the current generation. You will also
see splendid sculptures and engraving work.
