Dodoni
It is the center of the Municipality of
Dodoni, as it has the biggest population.
The village is built on the foot of Mount Tomaros, in the same place with the
ancient city of Epirus. It is a picturesque
location with rich natural beauty.

Μanteio
It is found on the foot of Mount
Olytsika and Mount Tomaros, in
720 meters altitude. In the old
days it was called Alpohori, but
as it is the closest village to the
archaeological site of Dodoni, the
name Manteio finally prevailed.

Saint Anastasia
It is also found on the foot of Mount
Tomaros, in 680 meters altitude. It was
inhabited by workers in the monastery
of Saint Paraskevi, which was destroyed
by Ali Pasha. Therefore, the residents
went down in the south, where they
built the church of Saint Anastasia.

Μeligoi
This village is found on the foot of
Mount Olytsikas. It is the space where
Selloi first lived, the first priests of the
Oracle in Dodoni. In 1994 the Folklore
Museum of Meligoi was founded. You
will see costumes, weavings, tools and
furniture. The entry is free every day
from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the

Κostaniani
It is found on the slopes of Tsouka and
it has historical importance. Velissarios
went down from there and confronted
the Turks in 1913, which resulted
to the liberation of Ioannina.

Mperko
The village is a settlement
of Kostaniani. It owes its
name to an old family
from Ioannina that had
a big fortune there.
Dragopsa
This mountainous village draws
its name from the plenty of
water that exists in the region
and gives it a special beauty.

Poligiros
The village is found in the western part
of the Municipality. It was inhabited by
people of various places and traditions
and that is how it took its name. You will
see a folklore museum with traditional
objects and costumes that testify the
traditions of the place.

Εleftherohori
Eleftherohori (Free village)
is a settlement of Poligiros.
It took this name because
it did not pay taxes during
the period of the Turkish
domination, which was
something rare that time.
Psina
This village is built on
the foot of Prophet Elias.
It took his name from
some man from Ioannina
who was called Psinas and
had estates and a big
fortune there.

Dramesioi
It is found on the foot of Mount
Tomaros and it owes its name to the
fact that it is built among oaks. Apart
from the beautiful churches it allocates,
the village has also demonstrated
important action during the Turkish
domination and the Occupation period.
